All monies received will go to Amnesty International to help fund their anti-death penalty campaign work.
Members of Club Mekon are again compiling an album of songs to raise funds for the anti-death penalty movement via Amnesty International. This follows convicted murderer Ronnie Lee Gardner’s recent execution by firing squad in Salt Lake City and the acknowledgement that the death penalty is retained by 58 countries worldwide. This is the first Club Mekon anti death penalty compilation: “I’ve been to Harehills and Back”. The new compilation “A*sebook” will be available in the Autumn as a bandcamp download with accompanying artwork and information. All proceeds from the sale of this album will go to Anmesty International to help them in their anti-death penalty campaign. (see www.amnesty.org/en/death-penalty for more information)
